A tough three stage race on the highest paved highway and border pass of the world the Khunjerab Pass. The race started from Gilgit and the first stage ended at Rakaposhi with a 68 kilometer distance and an average elevation gain of 1500 meters. Day 2 featured a slightly longer stage with a race distance of 117 kilometers and an elevation gain of 2000 meters from Rakaposhi to Sost. Day 3 and the final stage started in Sost going up to 4700 meters and a distance of 84 kilometers with an average elevation gain of 2000 meters. This was the toughest part of the race as the low air pressure and oxygen made things a bit more technical and difficult, was hard to push as the heart rate wont go anywhere near threshold.
